As part of the Actors Centre Members’ programme The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company will be performing Bryony Lavery’s poignant, tragic, but ultimately uplifting play “ A Wedding Story”. Interspersed with excerpts from the film “Casablanca”, its theme is love versus duty. As its heart is an examination of what it is to love and how much our love is based on shared memories. It deals with one of the most terrifying diseases Alzheimers, focussing on how the sufferer’s family cope (or not) as the once clever, elegant and efficient Evelyn slides further downhill.

“Director Rosemary Hill and her team at The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company do not shy away from its strong message, instead embracing the depth and range of emotions it evokes. The result is impressive and moving.” (Michael Davies Stage Reviews)

“Rosemary Hill and The Play’s the Thing have produced a brilliant piece of theatre that will touch many, and is definitely worth a watch.” (Carly Halse Female Arts)
