About: Was He Anyone?

Albert Whitbrace is alive and drowning in the Bay of Naples.
As his cries for help and leaky lifebelt are ignored by passing cruise ships, his wife pleads with the National Help You Out Charity Committee to save him.

While they come to a decision, Albert is given the opportunity to stay afloat by learning a raft of new skills – Basket weaving, bricklaying or maybe even learning the piano?

Utterly hilarious, WAS HE ANYONE? is a fabulous frenzy of comedy from N.F Simpson – ‘one of our most gifted comic writers’ (Daily Telegraph).

Having inspired Monty Python and the writers of Brass Eye. ‘This absurdist bitter comedy is very timely... Savagely funny and thought provoking.' Theatre World Review

‘An Enjoyable 80minutes of madness’ Southwark News.
