About: HIV Voices: Talking Progress

A girl tells of growing up in Ghana and the culture of silence that surrounds her condition. A disability analyst brings us into his world of points and paperwork where HIV often goes unrecognised. A young filmmaker thinks he's found his angle in Eric's daily routine of pills. A young woman struggles to be herself in the stressful world of online dating. ***** HIV Voices is a writing and performance project that employs the power of the individual story to explore what it means to live with HIV today. Since its inception in 2014, it has given voice to a variety of characters living with and affected by HIV, with a view to raising awareness and changing perceptions of a condition that still affects millions of people around the world. For HIV Voices: Talking Progress, the company will revisit four of its original monologues and place them in dialogue with newly-written responses to those themes. How much has changed in three years and where is progress hard to find? Join us for an evening that combines the past and the future of HIV, featuring stories to inspire, move and mobilise.
