About: Louder than Liberty

A night of radical poetry, cabaret, music and mayhem featuring:

Project Adorno

Join Project Adorno as they celebrate their 20th anniversary. Electro-pop cabaret songs featuring a range of subjects from library date stamps and love affairs with Daleks, to the lost rivers of London and the National Trust. Performed by two men, an ipod and an acoustic guitar. They’ve even got some natty new jackets for the occasion.
“The lovechild of The Human League and Radio Four’s Shipping Forecast” Buxton Fringe

Patric Cunnane
Showcasing The Ghost of Franz Kafka, a rich new collection from the Folkestone bard. The poems nod to the alienation in Kafka’s world, speaking out against injustice. The work also celebrates poets, artists and first love together with postcards, watermelons and windmills. Patric co-organises readings by Dodo Modern Poets in London and elsewhere. https://dodomodernpoets.wordpress.com

Sue Johns

Cornish poet Sue Johns reads from her new pamphlet ‘Rented’ and from ‘Track Record’ a poetry sequence inspired by trains.
“Sue Johns is a feminist poet from Cornwall, whose pamphlet about prostitution, dependency and history is driven by an exhilarating mix of compassion and anger at injustice.” Camilla Reeve, Palewell Press
‘To hear and read Sue Johns’s poetry is to inherit the earthy and the heartfelt…’ Peter Ebsworth, Southbank Poetry

Limited open mic spots also available. Sign up at 7.30 on the night. (£5 for open mic slots).
