About: The Big Smoke Festival: IDA Girls

Join London's leading classical crossover girl group, Ida, in their stunning Stage and Screen show at The Other Palace on 11th July. Enjoy an unforgettable evening full of timeless musical theatre numbers, iconic operatic arias and cinematic favourites, complete with exquisite harmonies, perfect blend and – of course – Ida's clever crossover twists! And in true Ida style – always pushing the boundaries of classical crossover – you can expect some surprises along the way! There will be something for everyone as Ida cleverly marries the musical legends of musical theatre, opera and the big screen, bringing you an evening you won't forget.

Ida formed whilst on the London Production of Gilbert & Sullivan's Princess Ida. It was here they became close friends and continued to sing together after the show had ended, and thus Ida was born. Having trained at some of the world's leading conservatoires, the girls' classical flare brings a unique quality to every song. Between them, they have performed on the West End (Adelphi, Charing Cross Theatre, The Criterion), at Jersey and Sydney Opera Houses, supported G4 and Russell Watson and Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finalists Vox Fortura, have sung with Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe on Classic FM's charity single and can be seen on BBC1's This Week: Christmas Special hosted by Andrew Neil. Though Ida's impressive versatility has seen them captivating audiences across six continents, they are so excited to be back on their home turf with a very special London show, having recently sold out at Live at Zedel and performed to thousands at West End Live in Trafalgar Square. It will be a rare chance to see the girls live at their last scheduled public performance in London – in what has become a very busy 2018 -so be sure to join them for what promises to be a wonderful evening!
