About: Just Eat

"I laughed, and then cried and then laughed again. Very brave of you guys, and truly entertaining."

An unconventional show revealing the true recipe of self-hatred. Ingredients include:
2 cups of slimming green tea
4 hours at the gym
3 half-digested meals
and a generous amount of societal pressure.

Five different personal struggles served on a bed of autobiography with songs on the side and a promise to get you to that target weight.
We are a theatre collective that counts calories, cuts carbs, and combats conventions.
We are here to help you digest the hardest diet pills to swallow.
We invite you to an evening of questioning force fed ideals, with the option of the naked truth for dessert.

Overload Theatre consists of five artists who formed a collective during their time as drama students at South Bank University. As a collective they collaborate in writing their own work and compose their own music and lyrics.
Just Eat is their debut as a company.

Amy Cole has been pursuing the full spectrum of acting, from continuing her actor training with the London Meisner company, to exploring her own devised work within Overload Theatre. To Amy devised and traditional theatre are equally important. Within 'Just Eat', Amy hopes to convey the nuances of both, through original material.

Canada-born and Bulgaria-raised, Lorra ended up somewhere in the geographic middle. An actor-singer-musician, her work is predominantly comedic and autobiographical. She has a strong background in devised theatre and musicals. Lorra has worked with theatre and film companies across the globe. In her art she is passionate about cultural differences in the East in the West, capitalism, relationships, and body politics.

Inspired by challenging stigmas, politics and taboos: Millie is a working-class-politically-fat-theatre-maker. Her authentic autobiographical comedic work focuses on fat-phobia and breaking taboos around sexual trauma. As a survivor herself, safeguarding is extremely important to her and she is an advocate for educational theatre that ignites real change.

Lillie began acting when she was very young, starting off at the White Rock Theatre, and later growing up to find her passion for acting grow. While living in Los Angeles she began taking acting classes. When she moved back to the UK she started her drama degree at South Bank University, whilst doing workshops around London. She has a passion for clowning and farce, alongside her background in film.

Callum is an aspiring singer, dancer and actor. His background is heavily focused on physical theatre as he has been a figure skater his entire life. He competed in his teens and was ranked in the UK's top 10 in the national championships. Since then he began skating professionally , touring around the globe with Disney with roles suck as Woody from Toy Story and Jack Skellington. His passion for theatre began early in his life, and he recently graduated from South Bank University's drama course.
