About: King Pest and Night Flyer

Treat yourself to The Paper Cinema's unique live cinema experience. King Pest, an adaptation of the short story by Edgar Allan Poe, tells the tale of two sailors who flee London seeking refuge in a sealed off plague town, while Night Flyer tells of a hero crossing the night on a mysterious train to find the lost girl of his dreams. This the first full length show by The Paper Cinema, using live video animation featuring the hand-drawn marionettes of Nicholas Rawling and a semi-improvised score by Kora.

Come along early for the Scratch Festival, and get a tour of the building with the artists of tomorrow. A Pay What You Can Event, the Scratch Festival allows you to see new ideas develop and will be finished before King Pest and Night Flyer starts.
