N2O: Cruel and Unusual
On from 25 Feb 2009 till 26 Feb 2009
Battersea Arts Centre
by Keith Farnon
Genre(s): Comedy

About: N2O: Cruel and Unusual

Cruel and unusual punishment is prohibited under the 8th amendment of the U.S. Constitution but the Death Penalty is still legal. This means that you can hang someone, shoot them, electrocute them and poison them but under no circumstances should you have someone executed by a dwarf in a penguin suit dropping a giant jelly bean on their head. Because that’d be cruel…and unusual.

Cruel and Unusual is a stand-up show telling the story of comedian Keith Farnan’s journey from law school in Ireland, to the Innocence Project in New York city, where he wonders whether the Irish might just be the only people in the world who can stop the death penalty in America…

‘Seriously funny. You will be moved to laughter and provoked to think. A unique and inspiring show.’ Time Out

‘If Eddie Izzard had been Irish, he'd surely have turned out a lot like Keith Farnan.’ The Scotsman
