About: The Funny Side of Earlsfield

Cracking Comedy at TARA is now The Funny Side of Earlsfield!

Our ever-popular live stand-up comedy night at TARA Studio, has a new, award-winning name! Fear not though, thatís all thatís changed; the shows still feature the very best UK and visiting international comedians. Now in itís second year, our resident comedy club has played host to many high quality acts, including familiar faces from TV and radio, whilst also supporting the new talent entering Londonís comedy circuit. Donít miss these sell-out performances which are putting Earlsfield well and truly on the comedy map!

Nick Revell
"A master craftsman" Time Out 2003
"Satirically brilliant. Travel miles to see him" Guardian
"Scalpel-sharp satirist" London Evening Standard
"fiercely fully...insightful, incandescent." The Herald
Nick Revell appears regulary on TV and radio including Not the Nine OíClock News and Drop the Dead Donkey. He also has his own shows The Nick Revel Show on BBC Radio 4 and Nick Revel on BBC 1!

Kerry Godliman
"A great comic who oozes personality" Evening Standard
"She may present herself as just one of the girls, but this young Londoner has clearly got the potential to really stand out" The Scotsman
The Hackney Empire New Act Finalist
Kerry gigs all over the UK and television appearances include Spoons, Comedy Store Live and Rush Hour.

Tobias Persson
Adding an international element to the show, Tobias Persson is a huge stand-up comedy star in his native Sweden, winning his countryís top comedy award in 2008. His solo show, Call me an old Fascist, ran to much acclaim at the 2010 Edinburgh festival. Expect a comic look at French, Swedish and Italian politics from a hugely fun and likeable performer.

Ben Davids
"Plenty of laughs with dry one-liners." Leicester Mercury
"Davidsís one-liners showed considerable skill in their writing, and he displayed an admirable sense of timing in telling them." Chortle
His act is a barrage of non-stop gags that range from the silly to the very silly indeed, and will provide something a bit different for any comedy night.

ďA firmly established favourite on the London comedy evening of original, laugh-out-loud comedyĒ British Theatre Guide on The Funny Side
