About: Mayday Mayday

May 1st. Padstow. Cornwall.
The death of winter, the birth of summer. A man falls head first off a wall. Years later he tries to remember what happened next. This is a true story.
Told by the man who fell.
With smoke and mirrors, music, slapstick and a guest appearance from the Obby Oss, this extraordinary theatrical adventure starts with an unforgettable celebration: a day where everything changes.

After appearing in Bristol Old Vic's Juliet and Her Romeo and Far Away, delighting audiences as Long John Silver in Treasure Island and a recent run on Broadway with Brief Encounter, internationally renowned performer and Kneehigh veteran Tristan Sturrock puts his neck on the line to tell his own story in this haunting new solo show.
Mayday Mayday has been developed through Bristol Old Vic's Ferment. An earlier version of the piece, Frankenspine, played with us last year and is now back by popular demand in a reworked version.

If you saw it then, join us again on the next stage of the journey. If you didn't, start here...
