About: A Place at the Table

Adam's written a hit play and television has sat up and taken notice. Sarah's the struggling script editor who believes her audacious proposal will make Adam's reputation, save her career and maybe even make a little bit of history.

But what happens when ambition comes up against a disabling fear of failure and the reality of the dog-eat-dog TV industry? What will it cost to secure a place at the table?

Signal Theatre Company return to Tristan Bates for the first time since their acclaimed sell-out production of Michael Frayn’s Here in 2008. Their most recent show was The Night Before Christmas by Anthony Neilson, in London and Exeter, described by The Stage as: 'Funny, earthy and sprinkled with a little dose of magic.'

Directed by Robert Wolstenholme
Designed by Christopher Hone
Cast includes Kellie Batchelor, Jacob Dunn, Eva Tausig and Christopher Tester.

7.30pm Tuesday-Saturday & 3pm Sundays

First produced at The Bush in 2000, this is the first London revival of Simon Block's hilarious, silver-tongued satire of creative compromise.

‘Edgy and funny… an almost classical comedy’-Independent
‘[A] bitchy black comedy’-Spectator
‘Block’s gift for comic dialogue is on full display… highly entertaining’-Sunday Telegraph
‘A bitter, viciously funny little fusillade… hugely enjoyable’-Glasgow Herald
