About: You Never Can Tell

Mrs Clandon and her three children, Dolly, Phillip and Gloria, have just returned to England after an 18 year stay in Madeira. The children have no idea who their father is and, through a comedy of errors, end up inviting him to a family lunch.

Dramatist, novelist, polemicist, critic, Shaw was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925 and an Oscar in 1938. A great supporter of RADA in his lifetime and after, he also helped found the London School of Economics.

Eve Shapiro taught and directed at RADA for 14 years. She has also directed at York Theatre Royal, Leeds Playhouse, Bournemouth Rep, the Juilliard Drama Division and The Acting Company, which tours throughout the United States. For the last eight years, Eve has been the Dramatic Advisor for the Artist Diploma in Opera Studies at Juilliard, directing operas including Cosi Fan Tutte, The Crucible, Susanna, Eugene Onegin, The Rape of Lucretia, The Bartered Bride, Cenerentola and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is concurrently coaching singers in acting at the Metropolitan Opera.
