A bracing shock of smart comedy and a swift kick in the shins to all the pre-packaged, TV friendly, easy, comfort food stand-up so readily available from the usual suspects.
Since unexpectedly winning the prestigious Hackney Empire New Act of the Year in 2011 David Mills has been infiltrating the stand-up comedy circuit across the UK. Known for his distinctive style clearly influenced by Dave Allen, Mills regularly performs with fellow American comic Scott Capurro. Together they host The Alternative Universe, the left-field stand-up comedy night at London's Comedy Cafe. Mills also plays 'second banana' or sidekick on Scott Capurro's Position, the hugely successful comedy chat show at Soho Theatre (http://scottcapurrosposition.com)
